Seventy-eight people were killed in Morocco, as a military aircraft crashed into a mountain in the south of the country, the army says, adding that three more people were wounded in the crash.
The C-130 Hercules crashed near Guelmim, near the disputed Saharian territory, and is considered the deadliest air disaster that happened in Morocco.
Officials consider that the accident was caused by the poor weather conditions, especially the fog. However, they added that for the moment, there was not enough information to make sure assessments of the causes.
According to eye witnesses quoted by the Reuters news agency, there was thick fog over the region at the time of the accident.
The plane was traveling from Dakhla, in Western Sahara, to Kinitra, in northern Morocco.
It crashed at about 09:00 local time as it was trying to make a scheduled stop at a military air base that was 10 km of Guelmim.
On board there were 81 people: 60 military troops, nine crew, and 12 civilians. So far, only 42 bodies were recovered, and the search continues.
The region where the plane crashed has been in dispute between Morocco and Algeria. Most of it is under Moroccan authority since 1976.
