Windows Phone 7 is one operating system that doesn’t require dual-core specifications and HTC knows this. It is only natural then that HTC’s next Windows Phone 7 handset, the Omega, will feature a 1.5GHz single core Qualcomm processor and 512MB of ram, specifications which certainly aren’t on par with, say, the HTC Sensation. Packing Windows Mango, the Omega will be HTC’s second WP7 totting handset and will serve as a refresher from last years 2010 model, however this time it will have a 3.8-inch WVGA super LCD screen and a design as luscious as the Desire S.
Software wise you are looking at box Live, Bing Maps, Search, Zune services, Dolby Mobile with SRS surround sound and Facebook integration. Overall we think that this handset sounds like a very tempting package indeed, bringing something new to HTC’s currently overcrowded smartphone line up.
