Amy Winehouse was found dead at her home in London. The singer was only 27
Although the cause of death is still unknown, people started speculating that the singer may have died from an overdose. Furthermore, although the Metropolitan Police has made no reference to the singer’s name, it is quite clear that they were talking about her. “Police were called by London Ambulance Service to an address in Camden Square NW1 shortly before 16.05 hours today, Saturday 23 July, following reports of a woman found deceased. ”
Once they arrived at the house, the police found Amy’s body and she was pronounced dead at the scene. It seems that she was dead long before the ambulances got the chance to get to her house.
Amy Winehouse was very famous not only for her beautiful voice, which made millions of people scream in awe, but also for her vices. She has had problems with alcohol, with drugs; she even had issues with eating disorders. Although she was repeatedly asked to check into rehab, to sort out her problems and back in 2008 she entered a rehabilitation facility for about two weeks. Also, in 2009 the singer’s father also mentioned that Amy was taking part in some sort of a drug replacement program. Anyway, her alcohol problems did not help too much with the rehabilitation.
Amy Winehouse was born on the 14th of September 1983 and in 2003, she became famous world-wide with her album “Frank” and her “Back to Black” album contributed even more to her fame. She artists even called her the biggest artist this generation will ever see.
