Tashkent quarter finals after ousting host Sabina Sharipova in two sets 6-3, 6-3 in one hour and 22 minutes. The Russian, who has not won a title this season, will next meet Victoria Larriere.

Pervak will next meet qualifier Victoria Larriere whop has continued to impress at the Uzbekistan event with a two set win against Magdalena Rybarikova whom the French eliminated 6-4, 6-4. Larriere needed one hour and 37 minutes to secure the quarter final berth, nearing her best performance of the season.
Larrier broke her opponent four times in nine tries, leaving the court with a 62 first serve percentage, zero double faults and a 48 return percentage. On the other side, Rybarikova’s showing included two aces, two double faults, a 59 first serve percentage, two break point conversions and a 40 return percentage.
Previous to the second round win, Pervak had ousted Galina Voskoboeva of Kazakhstan, while Larrier had upset Zuzana Kuvoca of Slovakia. The two will meet for the first time this year with the Russian starting the final eight term as favorite.
On the same half of the draw, Eleni Daniilidou has set a tough clash with Urszula Radwanska whom the Greek will meet tomorrow in the quarter finals. Daniilidou defeated Misaki Doi from Japan 7-6, 6-4, needing nearly two hours to make the progress through the best eight.
Doi managed to push the opener into a tie break she eventually lost at the death, 5-7. The first set also saw the two exchange six three break points, three apiece, but it was the Greek to clinch the first lead in over an hour. As for the second set, it brought Daniilidou three more breaks she managed to convert into a two game lead. Doi stole two services from her opponent, but was unable to set the pace, conceding the term in nearly half an hour.
Apart from the six breaks, Daniilidou also had a 74 first serve percentage, an ace, a double faults and a 55 return percentage. Concerning Doi’s showing, it included a 66 first serve percentage, a couple of break point conversions and a 41 return percentage.
Daniilidou will next meet Radwanska who had some hard times against Akgul Amanmuradova whom the Polish edged after surviving an early scare 6-7, 6-4, 6-3 in two hours and 20 minutes. Radwanksa lost the opener due to a poor breaker showing which saw her concede it at two.
But the second set saw her convert three out of three break point conversions and only concede a couple of services, something which allowed her to even the situation and push the meeting into a third set decider.
Finally, the last term showed the same Polish converting a couple of break points to build a three game lead which eventually helped her to make the progress through the final eight round. Radwanksa finished the game with a 72 first serve percentage, six breaks and a 45 return percentage, while her opponent came up with a 65 first serve percentage, a 41 return one and five aces.
Radwanksa had previously defeated Jana Cepelova in two sets 6-1, 6-4 in the opener, while her next opponent Daniilidou had also eliminated Pauline Parmentier in two sets 7-5, 6-1. “It was a tough battle and I was expecting one. I played some good tennis at important times,” said the Greek after the opener win.
Concerning the second half of the draw, Sorana Cirstea ousted Aleksandra Krunic 6-3, 6-4 to set a tough meeting with Alla Kudryavtseva in the quarter finals. The Romanian broke the qualifier five times in 11 tries, filling her impressive appearance with a 77 first serve percentage, a 51 return one and five aces.
On the other side, the Serb came up with a poor 54 first serve percentage, a 32 receiving one and three double faults. She also converted three out of four break points, but she was not able to go atop of her opponent who sealed the victory in one hour and 11 minutes.
Sixth favorite Kudryavtseva follows a three set success over Vitalia Diatchenko who had previously ousted Olga Govortsvoa. The Russian beat her compatriot 6-1, 2-6, 6-3 in one hour and 51 minutes, breaking Diatchenko six times in 12 tries.
Diatchenko managed to level the score thanks to a couple of break points grabbed in the second half which suggested a tight end. Kudryavtseva was forced to save six out of eight break points coming from the opposite side, without being able to build any break point chance.
But the third term saw her go three games ahead of Diatchenko who conceded three services when counted the most. Kudryavtseva only conceded one service and saved two others, going two wins from her first title of the season.
“It’s great to be back. Things are familiar here, I’m really feeling comfortable and my game is also suited to these courts,” said the defending champion Alla who will face Cirstea for the first time this season. The Romanian had previously ousted second favorite Bojana Jovanovski 6-3, 6-1 in the opener, while the Russian eliminated Vesna Dolonts 6-2, 7-5 in the first term.
Eva Birnerova stunned seed Evgeniya Rodina in three sets, 6-7, 6-4, 6-1 to provide one of the biggest surprises of the week in Uzbekistan. The Czech struggled to battle back after losing the first set at tie break. Eva pushed the opener into a tight breaker the Russian eventually won at the death, at four.
But the Czech impressed her play as the game progressed, winning the second set thanks to three breaks which helped her to push the meeting further into a third term decider, as well. Birnerova set the pace in the third set, converting all her three break points for two hour and 22 minute win.
The Czech finished the game with a 70 first serve percentage, a 53 return one and five double faults, compared to her opponent’s 61 first serve percentage, 42 receiving one and three double faults. Rodina converted five out of ten break point chances, but conceded eight services to the Czech.
Next up for Eva is Valeria Savinykh who stunned fourth seed Anastasija Sevastova 7-5, 3-6, 6-3. The Russian won the first set thanks to a late break but conceded the second term due to the loss of three services which cost her a potential win.
As for the third set, it saw Savinykh return with a much better pace, breaking her opponent twice and saving the only break point coming from the opposite side. Overall, the Russian came up with a 61 first serve percentage, five breaks and a 44 return percentage, while Sevastoava had a 58 first serve percentage, four breaks and a 37 receiving percentage.
Savinykh had previously ousted Lesia Tsurenko 6-4, 6-3, while her next opponent Eva Birnerova has also picked a 6-4, 6-1 win against Junri Namigata in the first round.
