Google+ As Creepy As Facebook?

Google + is another socializing site that allows to do almost the same things you can do with your Facebook account. But is it as creepy as Facebook or not?

First of all, you can have a profile picture just like on Facebook. You can also add friends and post messages that you consider important. But, where is the creepy aspect here? Is there such a thing?

Well, if you consider Facebook creepy, then you might consider Google + too, because as I was saying, they are pretty similar.

If you worry about your information security, you must find out that Google + has also a feature that allows the users to share the information only with the friends or with the people that they choose. The posts can have the same preference treatment, meaning that if you don’t want some people to see this, you will be able to block it.

If we have to make a comparison between the way in which Google + allows you to customize the settings, I will say that it has a more friendly look and will let you do all the changes in an easier mode than Facebook does it. Taking the example of the permissions, I will tell you that if you change them on Facebook you will find yourself in front of a window that will open another window after pressing the edit button. There you will see some other options that will let you change your settings. But it is a little bit complicated for those who are not quite in love with the panels.

Things are a little bit different in Google + where you can just set everything by pressing the edit button. There are not that many buttons and the options are easy to use.

Regarding the tagged pictures that exist here too, the person or persons who are authorized to see them by the one that creates the tag, are the only ones that have access to them, unlike Facebook, where you as user have to do it and to modify in one of the many windows the option of sharing.

Google+ As Creepy As Facebook?

So, as you can see there are lots of options that can be found at both the applications. And this is the thing that makes them both creepy. But if you do not like them, you can anytime choose to delete the account. If you are an Google + user, you can do it in two ways: one of them is to “downgrade” which means that you keep the Gmail account, but you delete all your data and you do not have access to your friends and the other one is the total delete, that allows you to get rid of anything related to you on Google, including Gmail and all the mails that you have.
