Stuttgart final on Sunday. The Spanish champion has gone 16-18 in the finals, the title in Germany being his first one of the season.

Said Ferrero: “This first tournament playing here [after] a very long year at home, practising zero, so I came here with no goals. Now I am the winner of the tournament. I can believe that I can win tournaments again after the injury. That is the most important thing. The knee responds very well, so everything’s perfect.”
The former world leader had previously ousted Federico Del Bonis of Argentina 3-6, 6-4, 6-4, while Andujar was following a 6-4, 3-6, 6-4 win against Lukasz Kubot. En route to the last term, Ferrero had also eliminated conational Marcelo Granollers in straight sets, 6-4, 6-3, one of the main favorites Mikhail Youzhny 6-7, 6-2, 6-2 and Bastian Knittel 6-2, 6-4 in the opening day.
On the other side, Andujar who blanked Cedrik Marcel Stebe 6-2, 6-1 in the quarter finals, Albert Montanes 2-6, 6-4, 6-3 in the second term and Romanian’s Victor Crivoi 6-2, 6-1 in the first round. He is pocket 36,250 euros and 150 points ATP. As for Carlos, the German title brought him 68,850 euros, 250 points plus a Mercedes luxury car.
