"Landep News"
For the first time, in an exclusive interview, Jaycee Dugard talked about her 18 year ordeal at the hands of the deranged parolee Phillip Garrido and his insane wife that is believed to stage the whole abduction and helped him keep the girl hostage.
Diane Sawyer, broadcasting Sunday on ABC, unraveled the terrible life Jaycee lived for 18 years. Dugard wrote a memoir, entitled “A Stolen Life” which will be released Tuesday. There she tells how Garridos notified her that she got pregnant at the age of 13. When she was 13 she could see that her belly was increasing and putting on extra weight, but she had no idea why.
A beautiful, naïve blond girl was taken captive at the young age of 11 back in 1991. Looking at Dugard now, you would see a beautiful woman with brown hair, and impossibly faired skin. She said it is because of very little exposure to the sun. You can see on her neck a very strange “necklace”, a pinecone on a chain.
Jaycee says it is the very pinecone she grabbed as being shocked by Phillip Garrido with a stun gun. Afterwards his wife dragged her to their car, and so her life as she knew it would end.
Phillip Garrido abused her many times, as she was being handcuffed. She learned about the existence of babies and sex from TV shows. She had to give birth in a shed, yet surprisingly enough, both girls were alive and healthy. The second Jaycee laid her eyes on them, she said that they were beautiful and that she was no longer alone. Jaycee actually tried to teach them math and history as they were slowly growing, and it is believed that the existence of her babies kept her sane enough.
She was found in 2009 and her kidnappers paid a dear price for it. The Garridos had no other option than pleading guilty on several charges that contained kidnapping and raping. Phillip Garridos was sentenced to the outstanding number of 431 years in prison. His wife Nancy was sentenced to 36 years in prison. Yet it still doesn’t seem enough is it?
When she was finally found, one of the officers told her that she can finally see her mother. The only words she told her mother on the phone were “come quick”.
Throughout the whole interview she was poise and she was even able to smile.
How can you be that strong?
