If you are the sort of person who likes hardware with a little bit of a spark on the design front then the recently showcased Lenovo IdeaPad P1 may very well be the product for you. Imaged above, the P1 tablet runs Windows 7 (I know) and ships with a lovely or -take your pick- vulgar orange backing, as well as a 1.5GHz Intel processor, a 1280 x 800 capacitive touchpanel, up to 2GB of DDR2 memory, up to 64GB of SSD storage, built-in Bluetooth / 3G / WiFi, a USB 2.0 connector, a microSD card slot and a docking port just for good measure. Battery wise you’ll be looking at 6 hours using 3G.
You likey? Well you’ll have to wait until Q4 2011 to see this tablet pc in the flesh and for price confirmations, however i’ll bet this little gadget is going to kick up quite the storm when released and will sit alongside your ThinkPad quite nicely.
