Folks at MacStories have reported that Apple is going to release iOS 4.2 firmware update on this Friday November 12th at 10 AM PST. Earlier, we had reported that Apple might release the iOS 4.2 update on November 7th, but it turned out to be an iOS 4.1 alarm bug fix date.
Now, the new reports have also claimed that Apple may also provide updates for iTunes and Mac computers i.e. iTunes 10.1 and Mac OS X 10.6.5 respectively. These updates are apparently scheduled for tomorrow.
There have been quite a few iOS 4.2 release date rumors and speculations floating around the Internet, so we should just wait for the official announcement from the Apple team.
For those who don’t know, the upcoming iOS 4.2 update will support iPod Touch 2G, iPod Touch 3G, iPod Touch 4G, iPhone 3G, iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4 and iPad. If you’re a jailbreak or unlock user, please save your iOS 4.1 SHSH blobs using TinyUmbrella.
