Air Force earns first Commander-In-Chief’s trophy since 2002

Air Force earned its first Commander-In-Chief’s trophy since the 2002 season with their 42-22 victory over Army Saturday.

Tim Jefferson completed three of seven passes for 124 yards and two touchdowns. The Falcons quarterback also rushed for 57 yards and two touchdowns to power Air Force.
The Chief’s trophy is awarded to the winner of the triangular college football series between the service academies. Air Force beat Navy 14-6 on Oct. 2.
The Midshipmen have won the past seven Chief’s trophies.
The victory also makes Air Force bowl eligible.
