While speaking to TechRadar folks, Microsoft corporate VP Dan’l Lewin said that the software giant had completed all the Windows 8 planning and UI work before Apple launched its highly successful iPad tablets in the market.
Think about when the planning started for what you saw just the other day; all the planning, the intent, the interface design work was done before the iPad hit the market.
Now that Apple has got huge market share, it would be difficult for Microsoft to create its own place in the tablet market. We know where we’re going – we just have to get there faster.
Microsoft’s Windows Phone 7 is struggling to make any impact on the worldwide users, and now many users are hoping to see some magic from Nokia’s Windows phone devices, which will be launched in next few months. Microsoft has used same user interface in the upcoming Windows 8 operating system. However, it would be difficult to predict the future of Windows tablets.
