Said Florida manager Rodriguez: “Vazquez kept us in the game. He just made a bad pitch to Lee.” Although he didn’t have a great day, Lee tried to do his best to help his side to collect the victory. “As pitchers, we’re not expected to hit, but I try to take it serious and help the team win any way I can … Obviously my job is to pitch, but any time you can contribute, it’s a good feeling,” he said. Marlins will next meet Tampa Bay Rays, while the East leaders meet Seattle Mariners on Friday.
