Facial Recognition On Facebook
I believe that there is not a single person that hasn’t at least heard about Facebook, not mentioning that maybe they have an account. For those who still don’t know about it, I can tell them that Facebook represents a social network where people can share photos, tag photos, chat and even play games. It is the most complex social network in my opinion so far.
What is new about it is the facial recognition feature that has been added. This new feature was seen by people a little bit threatening because it creates a digital fingerprint. Everybody started to wonder if it is safe to have such a thing on their profile, even there were made some jokes upon this thing, by saying that now, you can find your soul mate after his face.
If you are among the people that do not like this idea and you would like to remove it, here are some steps that will help you turn off this application:
-first you have to be logged in order to enter your account, in the upper right corner
-secondly you will have to access the Privacy settings from the menu
- now you have to click on Custom and after that on Customize Settings.
-the next step is to enter “Things others share” and from here go to “Suggest photos of me to friends”, where you will have to click on the Edit settings menu
-last step is to check Disable, if the option was enabled by default

So, there is not a heavy duty, but an easy thing and will help you to feel a little bit more comfortable if you do not like this idea.
