Produced by Nitin Manmohan and Samir Karnik, the bollywood movie Yamla Pagla Deewana is to be released on 14th January 2011. Three main characters around whom the whole script of this movie revolves are Papa Dharmendra, elder son Sunny Deol and younger son Bobby Deol. Movie is a fun with a different kind of comedy.
It reminds of Dharmendra at his best on Sholay, and Sunny at his best in Damini. Sunny Deol in one scene tells Bobby that those days are gone when climbing on a water tank used to help in getting married, reminding of the biggest blockbuster of Bollywood Sholay in which Dharmendra (Veeru) climbing on a water tank threatening Mausi of Basanti (Hema Malini) to jump down from it else she agrees to marry Veeru with Basanti.
The movie has songs, dialogues and captions from earlier hits of trio Dharmendra, Sunny and Bobby woven together in a comical manner to get you hooked on to the screen. Not only that, it would also be reminding you of their hit movies’ dialogues, scenes and songs that are still lying in our minds. Like who has forgotten the famous dialogues of Dharmendra in the movie Sholay when he tells Gabbar Singh – Kuttey Mein Tera Khoon Pee Jaunga. And the court scenes of Sunny Deol and Amrish Puri in the hit movie Damini when Sunny quite impressively argues and counter argues with Amrish Puri.
The movie is being released under the banner of One Up Entertainment & Top Angle Productions. The famous old song of Dharmendra Mein Jat Yamla Pagla Deewana will once again be available in this movie but in an entirely different manner. The story is about two conmen – Dharam and Bobby and an NRI – Sunny. The comedy is clear and loud and fits well with all three. In one scene Sunny tells his foreigner wife to send their children to India so that they can learn Indian culture and the kids.
Bobby would be seen romancing with many cute girls at the same time. Dharmendra is seen with a bucket full of liquor saying Jat Risky after partyWhisky. The movie is claimed to have comedy, romance, action, drama and lots of confusion. Johny Lever is also in a lead comedy role.
