It was bound to happen. Friday, Big Ten officials announced rules chances that forced both Illinois and Northwestern to play offense towards the eastern end zone at Wrigley Field to avoid the tightly packed western end zone.
During Saturday’s match-up, Northwestern’s Brian Peters intercepted Eddie McGee and returned it 59-yards for a touchdown into the western end zone. His teammate tackles him before he gets to the wall of course. Illinois was leading 21-14 in the first quarter.
