Things are changing for the better for Ducati. Ducati recently launched their power cruiser called the Diavel priced at a staggering 23+ lakh rupees in India (after duties and taxes). The bike has attracted a few bookings, but if you are planning to get one, you might have to wait or choose an alternative. Ducati is reported to have stopped taking further orders as the motorcycle is sold out worldwide till September. Many doubts on the looks of the bike emerged when it was first showcased to the media but the present situation goes to show how much the Ducatista (Ducati cult fan) love the bike. Till now Ducati has manufactured around 5,000 Diavel’s and it alone has generated £69 million revenue for the company. The company initially targeted to produce 8,000 Diavel’s in a year but as 4,700+ have already been sold in 4 months and 3,200 already registered, Ducati has to arrange for higher production. Of the 4,700 Diavels produced 2,800 are the more expensive carbon versions (pictured) and the rest are the standard versions.
