The first Cricket Test between India and New Zealand at Ahmedabad has ended in a draw. On the fifth and final day today, resuming their second innings at the overnight score of 82 for six, India were all out for 266, taking an overall lead of 294 runs.
The highlight of the innings, was Off-spinner Harbhajan Singh’s match-saving maiden Test century. He scored 115. The seventh-wicket partnership between him and V.V.S. Laxman yielded 163 runs. Laxman was out for 91.
When both captains decided to call off play, the Kiwis were 22 for one in their second knock.
The final Scores : India: 487 and 266
New Zealand – 459 and 22 for one.
