The tuna auctions at Tokyo’s Tsukiji fish market

"Landep News"

The tuna auctions at Tokyo’s Tsukiji fish market have re-opened to tourists:

They apparently closed the auctions to tourists on March 14th because of safety concerns raised by frequent aftershocks. Now that there are far fewer aftershocks, they’ve decided it is safer.
About 80 tourists came to see the 5:30 AM auction. There were no reports of trouble, and the foreign tourists interviewed seemed to have enjoyed the experience.
The second half of the video reports that seafood prices are rising because Tohoku’s fishing industry was heavily damaged by the March 11th tsunami.
