Sarah Palin Vs Michelle Bachmann
Bill Maher was invited to “Piers Morgan Tonight” and had a highly interesting chat with the host. Morgan asked Maher’s take on the chances of each of the candidates and asked who’d he rather see as president, Michelle Bachman, or Sarah Palin.
Maher answered that he consideres Bachmann would rather be President. He categorized her as “somebody who can read” and placed on the table some Bachman’s achievements. He mentioned the fact that she was a lawyer or that Bachmann is a Congresswoman. He didn’t have the best praises for Palin on the other hand, as he said that she “reads the prayer on Blackberry”.
Morgan also wanted to know whether Palin would stand any chance at becoming president. Surprisingly Maher answered “Absolutely. Absolutely”. He stated that despite the fact that most people consider her a joke, she has all the chances to become president.
He drew a parallel to the election of Ronald Reagen. He said that Reagan was considered a clown among other “serious” candidates or as Maher said it “Bedtime for Bonzo guy”. Therefore his conclusion was that if Reagan could become president, then anything can happen.
Related to Palin, Maher said that it is completely possible for her to become president if she could get the nomination. He also said that the actual Republican party is not the same any more. Therefore if Palin manages to get the nomination from one of the major parties, than she has all the chances to become president. For motivation, he mentioned the current economy which is a huge influential factor, and the “black president” as Maher called President Obama.
