Blasts in Mumbai
Three coordinated blasts were heard in the heart of the Indian financial center of Mumbai during the rush hours on Wednesday, killing 21, and wounding 113 in the worst attack staged in this city since the one in 2008.
The center of the city had bodies lying on the ground, and people carrying wounded to taxis on their ways to take them to the hospitals. Police investigate, and question the witnesses, while anti-bomb squads were looking for clues and for other possible bombs under the carriages of vehicles.
The first blast hit the Jhaveri Bazaar, in the famed jewelry market, the second hit the business district of Opera House, while a third exploded in a crowded neighborhood, in central Mumbai.

Home minister Palaniappan Chidambaram said that the close timing of the three blast demonstrates that they were coordinated by terrorists.
Prime Minister Manmohan Singh appealed to the residents in Mumbai to keep their calm and condemned the blasts.
Pakistan expressed regret for the loss of lives as soon as the news about the blasts got out. The Indian authorities did not make any allusion to the possible origin of the terrorists.
In the past, the authorities would have blamed the attacks on the Pakistanis, but the country has just resumed negotiation with the neighboring country, so that caution is required.
The president of the United States, Barack Obama, also condemned the outrageous attacks, while U.S. State Secretary Hillary Clinton announced she would not postpone her voyage in India, scheduled for next week.
Since the famous attacks in 2008, Mumbai has intensified its security measures, more police were brought in, people became more careful. It was for this that the authorities in the city were able to thwart an attack scheduled to happen in 2010.
