Pakistani politician, Hina Rabbani Khar, has created history in her country by becoming the youngest and the first female Minister of Foreign Affairs. Khar is holding her post since 20th July 2011, when she was appointed as the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
But since her appointment, questions have been constantly raised about the appointment of the 34 year old Khar, who is a business woman by profession. Pakistani politicians have raised questions about her appointment due to her age and her lack of experience.
Still Khar, since her appointment has been taking up her responsibilities and had also met the Indian Prime Minister, Manmohan Singh during her three day visit to India. Ms Khar had assured of friendly, co-operative and good relations within India and Pakistan.
In a statement Dr Singh had said that he had welcomed the progress that has been made in the talks and had also termed it as ‘Heralding of a new spring’ between the two countries. Singh had even added that he expects friendliest relations and resolution of all the issues with Pakistan.
