Saina Nehawal, Indias ace badminton star becomes the first Indian shuttler to occupy the World No.1 spot in badminton.She beats Shixian Wang of China and won the prestigious Hong Kong Super Series today. This win paved a floral path for the Indian golden girl to become Worlds No.1 badminton star.
Saina avenged successfully her 2010 World Championship slayer and Asian Games Champion Shixian Wang with 16-21, 21-16, and 21-17. This win bagged her Hong Kong super series along with World No.1 spot.
In fact, Saina lost her first game to Wang with 16-21. Later, she made a brilliant comeback to win the next two games.
Already, Saina registered three back-to-back titles this year. Those are Indian Open, Singapore Open and defending the Indonesian Open. Also, Common Wealth gold medal is always her favorite. This Hong Kong Super Series is the fourth title for her in this year
