Director- Actor Bhagyaraj has set a trademark coming with full length entertainment films way back in 1980’s. Now his son Shanthanoo is coming up with lots of expectations with his second film Siddu Plus 2 a youthful entertainer. The films promotion was on full swing on the small screens carried on by Bhagyaraj. Shanthanoo is hoping to bag a hit as the film is directed by his father.
Siddarth (Shanthanoo) studying in class 12 fails in his exams and escapes from home for this reason and reaches Chennai railway station. Pavithra (Chandini) too has the same reason and comes to the same station. Both of them will come across each other in a situation. Meanwhile Siddhu plans for committing suicide after enjoying some days in Chennai. Pavithra lands in confusion as she can’t reach home or stay in Chennai with no one to care of her. The film from here goes on a twist on how they will solve the problem and end up with the best will part the rest.
Highlights:
Shanthnoo’s performance is good and he improved a lot. He carried his expressions well all through the film.
Coming to the heroine Chandini a teenage girl is good and apt for the role of class 12 girl.
K. Bhagyaraj has to change his style as 1980’s fashion can’t click in 21 century.
Raasamathy Cinematography is a positive sign for the film.
Dharan’s music is striking.
To conclude with the film has nothing new to watch, as the story is very much routine. Bhagyaraj with a vast experience in making films can put in much more efforts to place his son in the row of young stars.
Bottom line: Nothing new to enjoy
