LANDOVER, Md. -- The Green Bay Packers will try their third different option to replace injured left tackle David Bakhtiari.
They're going with JC Tretter for Sunday's NFC wild-card playoff game against the Washington Redskins after Bakhtiari was declared inactive again. Bakhtiari, who sprained his left ankle in Week 15 against the Oakland Raiders, will miss his third straight game.
Quarterback Aaron Rodgers has been sacked 13 times in Bakhtiari's absence the previous two weeks. In the Week 16 loss at the Arizona Cardinals, the Packers tried Don Barclay, a right tackle by trade, and he allowed four sacks. In last week's loss to the Minnesota Vikings, they moved left guard Josh Sitton to left tackle, and that didn't work either. Sitton allowed a pair of sacks, and he'll be back at left guard on Sunday.
Bakhtiari was listed as questionable on this week's injury report, but there appeared to be more optimism he would be able to play.
Without Bakhtiari on the field this season, the Packers have yielded a sack on 12.6 percent of dropbacks this season, according to ESPN Stats & Information. With him, that number drops to 5.9 percent.
There were no other major surprises on the Packers' inactive list: QB Brett Hundley, CB Sam Shields, G Josh Walker, TE Justin Perillo, TE Kennard Backman and OLB Jayrone Elliott http://espn.go.com/nfl/story/_/id/14542582/green-bay-packers-lt-david-bakhtiari-sunday-wild-card-game-vs-washington-redskins
