Justin
Bieber has joined forces with his ex Selena Gomez for a surprise
collaboration - sparking all kinds of excitement on Twitter as their new
song leaks online.
The singers had a rocky relationship for years, but appear to have put their differences aside once and for all.
They
dropped the hit on Drake's OVO Sound Radio this weekend, naming it
Strong with rumours it's an ode to their own rocky relationship.
“There’s
no sophistication in my lack of patience. I’m just wishing you were
better at communication,” Selena sings at the start of her duet “As I
sit here steady waiting, wishing that you would call my name.”
They both then begin to exchange their own independent views on how to deal with a difficult break-up.
Bieber
later sings: "What should I do? Should I go? Who do I talk to? Nobody
knows. Who knows the answer to all of my questions? When will I get over
this?"
The
former couple are claimed to have been working on the song for months
together, but more reports claim they recorded it separately.
“[Selena
and Justin] didn’t record this together; they laid their tracks
separately but were both very involved with the song’s creation and
writing,” a source toldHollywoodLife.com. “They weren’t the main writers, but they will be credited as writers among others.
"This has been planned for months and they have been working on it at the same time they were working on their own albums.”
“They
are still very tight and [Justin] felt that it would be very
therapeutic if they worked together,” the source added. “Their past
could lead into some amazing future business decisions because they both
know how each other tick.”
