Google announces Nexus S

"Landep News"
After the phenomenal success of Nexus One and vain statements about no further cellphones from Google, the much talked about and hyped cellphone is here – the Google Nexus S.
The Nexus S is built by Samsung for Google, from scratches of the Samsung Nexus S. It has got the very same Hummingbird 1GHz processor which can handle anything on Android smoothly. The device comes with 16GB on board iNAND flash memory. The very feature is it is powered by the Android 2.3 Gingerbread, the latest Android, making it faster than any other Android device and also any smart phone in the market.

The Nexus S has a very sleek and sexy 4 inches Contour Display with curved glass screen which makes the mobile viewing experience at its best. The screen is capactive and Super AMOLED with anti-fingerprinting coat.

The phone sports a primary 5 mega pixels camera with HD recording, with auto-focus and a LED flash. There is also a front facing VGA camera for video calls. The phone has got a 3.5 mm jack with stereo audio support. Though there is no dual microphone like the Nexus One for noise cancellation, the Nexus S has got a software for external noise cancellation.
Talking about the hardware, the Nexus S sports a three-axis gyroscope for even better user interaction. It also has proximity sensor, ambient sensor, accelerometer, digital compass, etc. With all these inside, the phone still looks sleek and thin. The Nexus S has got a size of 63mm x 123.9mm x 10.88mm body and weighs only 129 grams. Sleek.
On the power side, the phone comes with a 1500 mAH Lithium Ion battery which gives you a talk time of upto 6.5 hours on 3G and 17 days stand-by. Credit also goes to the Gingerbread it comes with.
The Google Nexus S, with no doubt about it, is the best Android device in the market. Cheers to Google and Samsung for it! It will be sold unlocked and carrier-independent after 16th December 2010 at Best Buy stores in US and after 20th December in UK.
