ASSOCIATE RESEARCH MANAGER/RESEARCH MANAGER
REPORTING TO RESEARCH DIRECTOR
SCOPE :
1. Business Building
1.1. Identify potential clients and initiate contact with them.
1.2. Prepare marketing plan for the set of accounts and products/services assigned to the team.
1.3. Take overall charge of promoting a specific TNS product/s and service/s and supervise the implementation of researches utilising such product/service.
1.4. Develop marketing plan for the specific product/s and service/s championed
1.5. Develop mastery of specific TNS product/s and service/s
2. Client Servicing
2.1. Conduct oral briefings and presentation of TNS services
2.2. Identify client needs and design most appropriate research methodology to answer client’s needs.
2.3. Service the requirement of a set of accounts
2.4. Establish and maintain good relationship and communication with clients based on partnership relation.
2.5. Perform an oral presentation of research result to the Client.
SPECIFIC DUTIES (CONTINUES) :
3. Project Management
3.1. Prepare and review research proposal and instruments prior to final release to the client.
3.2. Manage budget and timing for each project or service.
3.3. Monitor project implementation.
3.4. Take overall responsibility for the development/innovation of specific
research products and or specialised service.
3.5. Monitor the profitability of accounts, to ensure updated status of receivable.
4. Analysis and Reporting
4.1. Review result of the written analysis conducted by researches and form as packaged report prior to final approval by a Director.
5. Personnel Supervision
5.1. Support and assist research staff in the proper and efficient implementation of each project.
5.2. Organise the Research team to ensure quality and adhere to the “One Extra Step” principle in servicing client
5.3. Train, supervise and evaluate Research staff assigned to the project ensure the team is adequately and properly staffed
5.4. Recommend personnel actions in term of recruitment, promotion, transfer, salary review and/or disciplinary action.
5.5. Under take the implementation of the annual performance appraisal together with HR Department Manager within Company organisation.
6. Others
6.1. Participate in special project, which the Company may undertake.
6.2. Undertake special administrative tasks as may be assigned.

- INTERNAL : Managing Director, Research Director, Research Executive,
- DP Manager, DP Executive, Field Manager, Finance
- Manager, Human Resources Manager.
- EXTERNAL : Project’s clients, Marketing Institution.
- Manage the total research need of a set of clients (representing total billing as agreed with the MD) by initiating researches base on client objective and supervising their implementation
- Act as Product Champion for specific TNS service/s with responsibility for promoting the service, overseeing projects utilising the specific service and providing expert advise and training to research staff undertaking such projects.
