ESPN’s “30 for 30″ has had plenty of interesting stories to tell and on Tuesday, Nov. 9, the network will air the two-hour documentary, The Best That Never Was, which details the rise and fall of Marcus Dupree.

Dupree was a Mississippi high school phenom who rose to acclaim by breaking Herschel Walker’s record for most touchdowns in high school history in 1981.
Recruited by the likes of UCLA, Texas, Georgia, and LSU, Dupree eventually ended up at Oklahoma, having a forgettable career with the Sooners, thanks in part to injuries and conflicts.
Eight-time Emmy Award-winner Jonathan Hock will examine why this star burned out so young and how he ultimately used football to redeem himself.
Here is a clip of the show.
