Samsung, one of the leading mobile manufacturers in the world, has officially announced that the company has managed to sell more than 10 million Samsung Galaxy S devices in 2010. Launched in June 2010, Samsung Galaxy S has attracted many people with its video call feature as well as smooth Android performance.
In last year, Samsung team performed quite well in mobile phone market and now they are planning to increase their sales in this year too. Recently, Samsung launched its first Android 2.3 based Nexus S phone, which has received mixed reviews from different users. Android 2.3 is obviously better than previous Android versions, but apparently, users were expecting something advanced and more powerful in the phone.
However, Samsung has raised the competition level for other Android phones manufacturers and it would be interesting to see if any other company manages to break this record.
As far as Apple’s iPhone is concerned, Cupertino folks have sold over 14 million iPhones in 2010. Apple team is rumored to be launching Verizon iPhone and White iPhone 4 this year. If this is true, the company will definitely attract more customers for sure.
So, it seems that Samsung will have to bring more quality phones in the market to win this Android vs. iOS/iPhone competition. All the best to Samsung guys!
