"Landep News"
The thing about budget models is they're mainly oriented towards the
financially conscious buyers, in search of practicality, low maintenance
costs and decent specs.
When you end up spending €10,000 or less on a new car, you generally
know what to expect. It won't be particularly quick, and the build
quality will be slightly under what you'd find on...say a Mercedes C-Class. Kidding! Technically speaking, it might not even belong to the same decade as the Mercedes.
But that's OK. It doesn't mean you're buying a bad car, just not an
exceptionally good one - and plenty of people can live with that.
As AvtoVAZ will start rolling out the Lada Vesta Sedan, potential customers will inevitably start popping up. After all, the alternatives only range from the Hyundai Sonata and the KIA Rio, to the Dacia/Renault Logan.
But what about those who don't really want a sedan? Dacia were smart to
make sure that their budget car could be all things to all people by
creating the MCV (Estate version) and even the Sandero (which in many
ways is just a hatchback version of the Logan to be honest).
So even though we're not sure what Lada is planning,
this Vesta Combi rendering proves that an estate body could easily be
implemented, design-wise. It may not be the prettiest thing in the
world, but at this moment in time, it doesn't need to be.
