The Indian Against Corruption activist Anna Hazare, along with his associate is all set to meet a parliamentary panel today on 10th August 2011 regarding their views on the Lokpal Bill. Hazare and his associate will be expressing their views on the bill that has been recently introduced in the parliament.
The activist and his associates were asked by the government to talk to the Standing Committee on Law and Justice. Hazare along with Shanti Bhushan, Arvind Kekriwal and Prashant Bhushan will be having a rendezvous with a committee in the parliament in the evening.
On 4th August 2011,the controversial Lokpal Bill was introduced in the Lok Sabha after which, the BJP had objected over the non inclusion of the Prime Minister under the purview of the anti corruption issue. The Lokpal Bill has been drafted for a corruption check on the politicians and bureaucrats.
According to Hazare and his team, the Bill that has been drafted by the government does not have value and that the Ombudsman does not have any real powers.
