Andy Rubin, VP of engineering at Google, had unexpectedly revealed a new tablet device based on Honeycomb OS. While talking with D: Dive into Mobile hosts, he demonstrated new Google Maps for Android platform on Motorola’s tablet.
Here are some of the leaked specifications of the tablet -
- OS: Honeycomb
- Processor: NVIDIA Tegra 2
- Display: 10-inch with 1280 x 800 resolution
- Camera: 5MP main camera and 2MP front camera
- Memory: 32GB embedded MMC with microSD slot
That’s what we know about the upcoming Moto tablet. However, the specifications are pretty good as compared to available tablets. Google’s developers are still developing the Honeycomb OS in their labs and it may take months to release the end product. So, it would be too early to give an opinion about the OS.
Apple team has been working on its next version of iPad, which will hopefully be released in first quarter of 2011. According to some rumors, iPad 2 will feature a camera to provide photography experience as well as video calls. It seems like Apple has planned several new features for iPad 2. Now, companies like Samsung, Motorola and LG should develop something innovative to gain the no.1 spot in tablet’s competition.
