HTC HD2 devices haven’t received many updates from the company, but developers still prefer it over other devices to try new operating systems. XDA developers have already started developing the compatible version of Android 2.3 OS, and now a developer, m-deejay, has released Android 2.3 Gingerbread for HTC HD2.
According to the developer, his ROM supports 3G, Audio, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, 720p PLAYBACK and Phone. The features that don’t work are – Camera, GPS, Contacts Sync and Auto backlight. In case you want to try this ROM on your phone, you should know how to boot Android OS on HTC HD2.
Note: If you don’t have any idea about installation procedure, please stay away from it. Android 2.3 for HTC HD2 is not developed completely, so try it at your own risk.
How to install Android 2.3 Gingerbread on HTC HD2?
- Place “Android” folder on the root of your SD card.
- Run “CLRCAD.exe” then “haret.exe”
- First boot will take up to 10-15 minutes.
