After a long chaos, actor Nagarjuna’s Telugu film ‘Rajanna’ has been cleared by the Andhra Pradesh Film Chamber of Commerce for release. But the director S Vijendra Prasad, who is also the father of SS Rajamouli has been banned for cheating a few producers.
Producer Metikonda MuraliKrishna had filed a case against Prasad for not returning Rs. 36 lakhs that the film maker had taken to provide a story and a screenplay. Prasad has also been alleged to sell the same story to a couple of other producers.
The body felt that banning the release of the upcoming movie ‘Rajanna’ would be unfair as the filming has been going on since a year. With the recent action by the APFCC, they have conveyed a message to all the evil doers a message that they would not spare even the big names like Vijayendra Prasad.
From now, Prasad will not be in a position to accept any new offers till he falls in line.
