Anna is looking forward to her senior year in Atlanta, where she has a great job, a loyal best friend, and a crush on the verge of becoming more. Which is why she is less than thrilled about being shipped off to boarding school in Paris - until she meets Etienne St. Clair: perfect, Parisian (and English and American, which makes for a swoon-worthy accent), and utterly irresistible. The only problem is that he's taken, and Anna might be, too, if anything comes of her almost-relationship back home.

As winter melts into spring, will a year of romantic near - misses end with the French kiss Anna - and readers - have long awaited?
Anna and the French Kiss is one of those books that is surrounded by a lot of hype.  Normally it is hard for a book to live up to that hype. That was so not the case with this book.  I adored it!

For once, the characters weren't my absolute favorite part of the book.  Don't get me wrong, they were great but the setting was what really got me.  Anna and the French Kiss takes place in Paris and I am now dying to go there (even more than before.)  The descriptions were so rich and vivid.  Stephanie Perkins made Paris come alive and it was glorious.  The Pantheon, Notre Dame, the School of America in Paris.  Field trip, anyone?

Now like I said before, the characters were awesome.  Anna was a bit scared and insecure at first but she became confident and independent throughout the book.  Then there were her friends, Meredith, Josh, Rashmi, and Etienne St.Clair.  Oh gosh, St.Clair!  Swoon!  He definitely stole the show.  He was so sweet and romantic and he had a British accent.  Can I have him, please?  Josh was pretty comical and he and Rashmi together were hilarious. Meredith was okay but I would have liked to see more of a personality from her.

Overall, Anna and the French Kiss is fabulous.  If you haven't already read it, do it now!  I can't believe I waited so long!

First line:  Here is everything I know about France:  Madeline and Amelie and Moulin Rouge.
