Indonesian Armed Force Members Gets Discounted Rate

TNI Commander General Agus Suhartono, SE and President Director of State Owned Train Carrier (PTKAI) Ignatius Jonan signed agreements that will allow member of the Indonesian armed forces to enjoy a discounted rate when using PTKAI train. The agreements were signed at the TNI headquarter in Cilangkap, Jakarta.
With this agreement the armed forces member will get a discounted rate when purchasing tickets for executive, business and economy class.

General Agus Suhartono praised the agreement and says that in the future the Government will focus more one the railway systems because of the demand of a better and cheaper transportations. The General also says that the railway has the best infrastructure to move the economy in a large scale. He believes that the railway will experience a massive transformation in a near future as the country tries to reduce its reliance on road transportation.
Commitment PTKAI in allowing discounted train rates to Army personnel will provide significant value to many TNI members whose relying on trains in their daily commuting.
The agreements will start into effect in January 14, 2011 and will be in force for one year ending in January 14, 2012. The agreements are extendable if agreed by both parties.
The signing of the agreements were attended by Air Force Chief of Staff, Naval Vice Chief of Staff , Army Chief of Staff, Assistant to the Chief of Staff, Armed Forces Commander, the Assistant Commander of TNI, as well as other officials within the military and PTKAI.
