Though the male leads have been retained, there seems to an alteration for the female leads.
Sonakshi Sinha seems to be on a new high after her superb launching in Dabangg where she was the leading lady opposite Salman Khan. The sultry actor had earlier landed ‘Joker’ with the action king, Akshay Kumar and now the buzz is doing rounds that Sonakshi has also bagged a role in the thriller, Race 2.
Abbas- Mustan directed Race 2 has been produced by Ramesh Taurani (Tips) and boasts of big names like Saif Ali Khan, Anil Kapoor, John Abraham and Deepika Padukone. Now that Sonakshi is also joining the starry list, Race 2 is expected to not only go more spice but thrilling at the same time.
The producer of Race 2, Ramesh Taurani, confirmed the news and said that Sonakshi and Deepika have been finalized for Race 2 but they are yet to decide about the third female lead.
Priyanka Chopra was approached earlier in place of Deepika but the idea was soon dropped as she had some date issues due to Don 2.
Ramesh futher said that the script has been finalized and that the music score will be done by Pritam.
Race 2 will go on floors next year.
