The remake of the block buster movie ‘3 Idiots’ in Telugu and Tamil languages whose shooting was supposed to begin from 6th December, got cancelled. Tamil actor Vijay and Telugu actor Mahesh Babu were according to sources, roped in for the remake of ‘3 Idiots’.
The shooting of the movie has been cancelled as both the actors have reportedly dropped out of the project due to different reasons. Vijay withdrew from the project as he was having some date problems. Certain changes were made in the shooting schedules which did not suit the actor.
While Telugu actor Mahesh Babu, opted out of the project due to the reason that he was not happy with the current casting of the movie. Sources close to the unit told that the shooting was about to begin on 6th December in Dehradun.
Actress Lleana was chosen to do the role of Kareena Kapoor in the remake. Bollywood movie ‘3 Idiots’ was directed by Rajkumar Hirani and was produced by Vidhu Vinod Chopra. The movie proved to be the biggest block buster hit of the year 2009.
