Apple’s iPhone 4 and old iPhone versions have been manufactured with 3.5-inch screen display size. Now, Digitimes reports that iPhone maker is interested in larger display for their upcoming iPhone devices. Today’s rumors suggest that Apple wants to compete with new generation Android mobile phones, which has big screen display as compared to any of the previous iPhone. Hence, they seem to have interested in featuring 4-inch display for iPhone 5.
An excerpt from rumored report –
The component suppliers noted that the production lines for Apple’s next generation iPhone have begun testing, and Apple is interesting in expanding the screen size to 4-inches to support the tablet PC market as the vendor only has a 9.7-inch iPad in the market.
If Apple wants to compete with fast-moving Android platform, iPhone 5 and other iDevices should perform well in terms of sales. The large display has always been the first choice of phone users, as it allows fantastic video and gaming experience on the device.
Apple’s component suppliers are pretty good sources to know what Cupertino guys have planned for next devices. iPhone 4 needs a design change, because its antenna issue has caused lots of damage to the no. of sales last year. So, it seems Apple will launch newly designed iPhone 5 to fix such issues and might introduce 4-inch screen for the first time on the iPhone.
