My name is Gwen Frost, and I go to Mythos Academy — a school of myths, magic and warrior whiz kids, where even the lowliest geek knows how to chop off somebody's head with a sword and Logan Quinn, the hottest Spartan guy in school, also happens to be the deadliest.

But lately, things have been weird, even for Mythos. First, mean girl Jasmine Ashton was murdered in the Library of Antiquities. Then, someone stole the Bowl of Tears, a magical artifact that can be used to bring about the second Chaos War. You know, death, destruction and lots of other bad, bad things. Freaky stuff like this goes on all the time at Mythos, but I'm determined to find out who killed Jasmine and why—especially since I should have been the one who died. .
Touch Of Frost is a promising start to the Mythos Academy series. This first book features awesome mythology, fun characters, and kick-ass battle scenes.  I can't wait for more.

Mythos Academy is a re-imagining of ancient mythology.  A lot of it is based on truth but a lot of things have been added in to make it unique and a very fun read.  Mythology has always been a love of mine so this new trend in books makes me very happy and I thought Touch Of Frost was the perfect blend of truth and fiction (if you can call myths truth.)

Gwen Frost, the main character, was not my favorite at first.  I didn't really like her attitude or the fact that she complained about having no friends but did nothing to change that.  She expected everyone to come to her.  She made no effort to change her miserable life at Mythos Academy.  And then there was Logan Quinn. The song "Hot 'N Cold" by Katy Perry is perfect for him.  He was all over the place and not once did I know what he was feeling.  Hopefully there will be more about him in book two, as well as Vic.  I loved Vic and I want to know more about him. He is a very unusual character.

The plot of Touch Of Frost was slow in the beginning but it picked up in the middle and didn't slow down after that.  I was on the edge of my seat by the end of the book.  The sequel promises to be very exciting as well.

Overall, Touch Of Frost is a great start to what looks like a fabulous series.  I urge you to pick it up if you are a mythology lover like me.

First line:  "I know your secret."
