The results of the National Eligibility Test (NET)

"Landep News"
The results of the National Eligibility Test (NET), conducted by the UGC are likely to be announced today on 13th June 2011. The examinations were held in December 2010. Till now no official conformation has been given by the UGC regarding the results.
After the results have been declared, the candidates can check their results at http://www.ugcnetonline.in. Earlier, the results were supposed to be declared in the month of April 2011.
Later the UGC was pressurized by the Students Islamic Organization of India to announce the results. Later the UGC had assured that the results would be declared as soon as possible.
The National Eligibility Test is formally conducted twice a year by the UGC, which gives the basic eligibility criteria for the post of lecturers. The test also determines the award for the Junior Research Fellowship (JRF). Hence any delay in the declaration of the results must be communicated to the candidates or else the whole purpose of conducting the test is defeated.
