The computer manufacturer giant IBM says that they will be bringing the super smart computer Watson to Indonesia for the Technology Conference and Expo event with the theme of “Smarter Computing” to be held in Jakarta on May 3rd.
Computer Watson is the latest innovation from IBM’s super computing, where visitors can try a simulation by asking question like in most popular television quiz show in the United States, Jeopardy where panelist can win money for guessing the right question for a word or phrase presented by the host.

Watson was built by a team of IBM scientists with the aim to create a computing system that can handle any workload. Arguably the most intelligent computer systems, Watson equipped with Power7 system capable of analyzing millions of data and process thousands of jobs simultaneously and quickly.
“However, IBM does not make Watson to just play on the television quiz show,” said Indonesia Country Manager of IBM’s Systems and Technology, Fetra Syahbana, in a press release, today.
According to Fetra, Watson is one big leap in the capacity of information technology systems to identify patterns, gain insight, and assist decision-making process. In relation to IBM’s 100th year anniversary, he said Watson is not just a symbol that describes the innovation, but also represents a new breakthrough in the field of information science.
