So after celebrating days like Father’s Day, Mother’s Day finally the kids are getting their due share …Children’s Day is round the corner and thankfully it falls on a Sunday.
So, every child gets to spend time with their parents and now nobody can even find any excuse to say “no” to them.
Children’s Day is celebrated in the memory of Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru’s birthday, India’s first Prime Minister. He was born on 14th November 1889. He was fondly known as Chacha Nehru by the children.
Post his death on 27th May, 1964, his birthday is celebrated as Children’s Day as the tribute to the great politician and visionary., He had great love for all the children and thus his birthday has been emulated as the day of the children.
Nehru was a real visionary and he put forth the idea that children are the real future of any nation and thus they should be endowed with all the facilities and love. Childrens_day-
Nehru’s most famous pictures have been clicked when he was interacting with kids. He was almost all the time surrounded with children.
He always laid great emphasis on their wholesome development. Children’s Day is a fun day even at the schools as most of them have their annual fests and cultural programs by the students.
Parents too pamper their children a lot on this day. Though, a lot could be achieved to uplift children from slums and underprivileged class on this day. Donations or sponsorship for their education could be made. Worldwide Children’s Day is celebrated on November 20.
