Aman Kachroo gets justice

Aman Kachroo the ragging victim of a medical college in Himachal Pradesh who was killed post the brutal ragging that led out a wave of terror in the nation has finally received justice.
The session court that was handling the case finally convicted the four senior medical college students who killed the new student.
Purinder Vaidya the judge of the sessions and Dharamsala Additional District transformed the charges levied against the four individuals Ajay Verma, Naveen Verma, Abhinav Verma and Mukul Sharma from Indian Penal Code (IPC) under section 302 to homicide under section 304 on the 11th of November amidst many people who were present in the court. The measure following the sentence will be conveyed by afternoon hours.
Aman Kachroo, 19 who was beaten and then put to death was a first year student of the Tanda medical college studying MBBS.
Aman was staying at the campus hostel of Dr. Rajendra Prasad Tanda Medical College situated in Kangra. His four seniors beat him to death on the 8th of March 2009 in the hostel premises.
After this the entire nation became aware about this social issue and huge outrage against ragging culminated. During his traumatic ragging sessions Aman had repeatedly mentioned about the harassment to his parents as well as the hostel authorities.
Post the conviction the father of the victim said that the sentence is a victory of truth and a message to the others about ragging. Punishment is not just about its essence but is more important as way to prevent the crime itself.
